Riding Brazil is a branch of Southern Cross Tours & Expeditions, working out of Arraial do Cabo, located some 165kms on the eastern coast line of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Recently celebrating its 25 years pioneering of outdoor activities, the company has gathered and consolidated valuable experience and has successfully managed to extract and transform this into the very best of what this amazingly beautiful country has to offer to its visitors.
Instead of operating a greater variety of rides all over the country we have chosen, tested and approved only a few regions which we consider the very best for excellent riding adventures. They unite the perfect conditions when it comes to quality of horses and service, reliability and scenery. Please note that, after having worked for quite some time through several agencies to sell our rides abroad we have now decided for direct communication with the client. This means that we do not have to pay commission and, accordingly, are able to offer high quality rides at very reasonable prices. This also means that more money goes directly to the farmers, horse men and the other local people we work with. To make sure things work out well every single request goes straight to Peter´s desk who takes care of it as from there. If the situation suggest he will call you up by phone to discuss your wishes.
At Riding Brazil - Horseback Adventures "less is more" . Our maximum group size is 4 riders. Depending on local conditions however larger families or group of friends may be accepted. We also like to emphasize that to even better serve our clients we offer interesting extensions to our rides, adding thus additional value to the voyage.
The booking system is as simple as it can be. It needs just an e- mail to peter@ridingbrazil.com and the client will receive a prompt and comprehensive answer indicating further steps. Bookings are confirmed after a deposit, usually 30% of the total amount, air travel excluded, is received. The balance has to be paid 30 days prior the travel date. Invoices and confirmations for bookings and payments are issued and are mailed to the customer.
Legal safety is another important item in our operations. Issues involving complains of non performance or similar and subsequent request for compensation payments will be handled correctly by Riding Brazil-Horseback Adventures and, in the event of dubiety, always to the benefit of the client.
Compensation payments do not apply where the contract cannot be carried out because of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of Riding Brazil , Horseback Adventures, or its suppliers, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even with the exercise of all due care. Examples include war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions, technical or maintenance problems with transport, changes imposed by rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline, the alteration of the airline or aircraft type or other similar events beyond control of Riding Brasil, Horseback Adventures . Trekking Tours, expeditions, horse-back riding and other adventure trips like those offered by Riding Brazil, Horseback Adventures and its affiliates, have to be considered as being risky activities. Therefore, Riding Brazil, Horseback Adventures requires that you carry your own health, accident and liability insurance or agree in writing to assume responsibility for any injuries. Clients are responsible for ensuring that they are in possession of travel insurance with protection for the full duration of the vacation covering medical expenses, injury, death, repatriation, as well as cancellation and curtailment. Clients making their own arrangements for flights, hotels and other services must ensure that there are no exclusion clauses limiting protection for the type of activities included in their vacation. Clients should be certain that any travel insurance arrangements, made through any agency or individuals, are sufficient for their requirements and should arrange supplementary insurance if necessary.
